How much do doctors get paid?...Most of us have wondered about that at one point or another. The normal doctor's income varies according to their field of expertise, location and even the company they work for. Normally, if the doctor works with an intricate section of the body, chances are they'll bring in more revenue. 

However, even just a common physician, that the majority of people look at as the least difficult of most doctor occupations, earns a quite a bit of income.


How Much Different Kinds Of Doctors Get Paid?


Here are some average number of yearly salary of doctors in the US according to the Medical Group Management Association.

Brain doctors
They usually earn anywhere between $450,00-$650,000 a year.

Anesthesiologist
They can expect to make about $300,000 per year.

General surgeon
They usually earn around $250,00 a year.

Obstetricians/Gynecologist
They are expected to earn somewhere around $230,000 a year.

Psychiatrist
Average earning of about $165,000 per year.

Internists
These are doctors who deal with adult medicine and help with the prevention and treatment of adult diseases tend to make somewhere around $150,000 to $160,000 per year.

Pediatricians
Pediatrician earn a salary of about $150,000.

Family Physicians
Their salary tends to average out about $150,000 as well.

ER Doctors
The beloved TV show doctors actually make good money by averaging about $215,000+ a year.

Keep in mind that a self-employed doctor tend to earn much more than the salaried physicians.


It is also important to remember that just like many other professions, just how much doctors get paid varies based on the number of years in practice, location, hours their work hours and of course their skills and professional reputation.
